A Bit Of History
Actor
In New York City I studied theater and acting at the renowned Circle In The Square Theatre Professional Workshop, 50th Street and Broadway. Circle's two-year program helped me launch my theater career where I have been seen on all levels: off-off Broadway, off-Broadway and on Broadway, as well as regionally.
Acting Coach and Teacher
In 1996, I returned as a teaching artist to Circle In The Square. I joined the permanent faculty in 2002 and continued on faculty until April 2019. What I found at Circle In The Square was that my acting informed my coaching and teaching and my coaching and teaching informed my acting.
Public Speaking Coach
In 2007, I expanded my teaching into the Public Speaking arena helping actors and non-actors alike. Since then, my work with professionals of all professions simply exploded, first in the New York City Metro area and then nationally and internationally via FaceTime or Skype.
My theater background, first as actor, then as teacher, elevates my coaching one step above my peers. I know what my clients are going through because I have been in their shoes; I have been there, done that and I get it. Add to that my keen observational instincts, my laser focus on your needs, not mine, and intense concentration results in tailored instruction you cannot get anywhere else. Larry does not impose a system on you, but rather delves deep into your particular issues and devises a plan to bring you to the next level.
Westward, ho! New Mexico
In April 2019 I brought my Acting and Public Speaking Coaching skills to Santa Fe and north central New Mexico. While I can no longer meet face to face with my NYC clients, some have continued to work with me online. Today, I am available to work one-on-one and face to face at my home studio in Santa Fe. Additionally, if you need me to come to you in the Santa Fe/Albuquerque/Taos area, that can be arranged as well.
If you live outside Santa Fe/Albuquerque/Los Alamos/Taos, we can still work via FaceTime or Skype.
